About Anywhere But Here Property
We help Australians reclaim the possibility of property ownership by opening doors to international markets where quality homes are still attainable.
The Story Behind the Name
"Anywhere But Here" isn't just a catchy phrase. It's a response to a broken system.
When the median house price in Sydney is $1.8 million, Melbourne $1 million, Perth $955,000, and even regional areas push $600,000+ for a basic home, the message is clear: the game is rigged. For FIFO workers, dual-income households, and first-time buyers, the deposit required today and the income needed to borrow make ownership feel impossible.
But here's what most Australians don't realise: you don't have to play a game you can't win.
That same $800,000 that gets you a two-bedroom apartment an hour from Sydney? In Bali, it's a three-bedroom villa with a pool, 10 minutes from the beach. In Thailand, you could buy three properties. In Japan, you could renovate a traditional house in the mountains and still have $600,000 left over.
Anywhere But Here is about reclaiming possibility. It's about recognising that your goals don't have to be limited to one market. It's about using international property to build wealth, create lifestyle options, or simply take your first step into ownership.
About the Founder
My entire career has been shaped by property and a belief that housing is one of the most fundamental human needs.
I grew up in a small two-bedroom unit, so I understand what it means when a home feels out of reach. It's something that stays with you.
My journey in property started at the Housing Authority (State Gov) while still at university, working on the phone line that supported people facing homelessness. It opened my eyes to the reality of housing stress in Western Australia and shaped how I see the industry today.
Over time, I moved into Research and Analysis within the Land and Housing Construction directorate. I was involved in the delivery of various social housing projects and managed the agency's strategic land and built-form development pipelines. This gave me a deep understanding of how cities grow, how supply is created, and why affordability has shifted so sharply.
After leaving government, I worked with private developers across single homes, grouped dwellings, multi-residential, and apartment projects. I learned what's actually involved in bringing housing to life: planning, feasibility, finance, and execution.
In the last five years, I've helped clients secure more than $100 million worth of house and land throughout Perth. I've worked with first-home buyers, investors, downsizers, and helped create forever homes. But now I'm watching the dream of ownership slip further away for too many hardworking people.
These are unprecedented times. There's no other way to say it: we are in a deep housing crisis due to the massive undersupply of land and homes available. From the stamp duty and deposit to the income required to borrow and the cost of living in Perth, it's become incredibly challenging—even for singles on an above-average income and dual-income households who are doing everything right.
Through travelling, I realised something important: you don't have to limit your goals to one market.
There are places around the world where quality property is still attainable, often for less than the deposit required in WA. You can use international markets to build wealth, create lifestyle options, or simply take your first step into ownership.
That realisation became Anywhere But Here.
My goal is simple: to help people reclaim the possibility of owning property, whether that's here in Perth or anywhere else in the world.
Every person has different goals and different reasons for buying. My role is to guide you with honesty, grounded knowledge, and a clear understanding of what's possible for your situation. Through my extensive network—locally and overseas—I can help you explore all your options and make the right choices.
Property remains one of the most powerful tools for stability, wealth-building, and freedom.
I'm here to help you find something real and achievable.

Scott has gone above and beyond his role as a building consultant and treated me like family instead of a client. His knowledge, professionalism and attitude has consistently blown me away."
Jarvis Taylor, Custom Build Client
"He is truly one of a kind in the cut throat new homes industry environment. In his super honest and very transparent approach he told us which blocks not to buy as there were added costs we did not even think of. Scott stands out as true professional, he is super communicative, super prompt and has a heart. This is very hard to find nowadays."
Tina Pember, Multi-Build Investor
"From the initial consultation with Scott right through the building process Ideal Homes were always open and honest. Communication was spot on. I really enjoyed working with Scott to design my ideal home. He was the only sales rep out of all the builders I spoke with willing to help given my situation. What We Believe
Property remains one of the most powerful tools for stability, wealth building, and freedom. We believe everyone deserves a realistic path to ownership.
We don't sell pipe dreams. We provide grounded knowledge, honest guidance, and a clear understanding of what's possible for your situation.
You don't have to be stuck in one market. International property opens doors to lifestyle, investment, and ownership that might be impossible at home.
We don't believe in one-size-fits-all solutions. Your goals, budget, timeline, and risk tolerance are unique. Our role is to guide you toward what actually works for you.
How We Help
We show you how to get into property ownership sooner, whether that's in Perth or internationally, with realistic budgets and clear pathways.
We help you diversify beyond the Australian market, accessing opportunities in Bali, Thailand, Japan, Dubai, and Europe where yields and growth potential may be stronger.
We guide you toward property that supports the life you actually want to live, whether that's a beachside villa in Bali, a mountain retreat in Japan, or a European base for travel.
We help you leverage your income to build wealth faster through international property, where your dollar goes further and opportunities are more accessible.
How We Work
We start by helping you understand the landscape. What are your options? What are the risks? What's realistic for your budget and timeline?
We won't push you toward a market or property that doesn't fit your goals. If Perth makes sense, we'll tell you. If international property is a better fit, we'll show you why.
We break down the process (financing, legal requirements, market selection, due diligence) so you can make informed decisions with confidence.
We're not here for a one-time transaction. We're here to support you through the entire journey, from initial research to ownership and beyond.
While we provide comprehensive research and trusted contacts, the final decision is always yours. We strongly recommend that you:
- Conduct your own independent research
- Seek professional legal advice in both Australia and the target country
- Consult with a qualified accountant or financial adviser
- Visit properties in person before purchasing (where possible)
- Understand all risks, costs, and obligations
We are not financial advisers, lawyers, or accountants. We provide information and connections, but you must make your own informed decisions.
